It’s that wonderful time of year when all the luxury beauty you’ve been eyeing feels a little more attainable. Welcome to the Sephora Savings Event! Okay, I might be overselling it, but this semi-annual sale is one I look forward to each time. Knowing I can get my favorite products at a discount periodically helps me get the beauty products I want while costing me less.
I like to make the majority of my restock purchases during the sale but in addition to restocking, this time I’m giving a few new things a try and finally buying something I’ve been eyeing for years. It’s only skincare and makeup this time and if you’re subscribed to my newsletter you know why. I might get some fragrances next time, but those tend to go on sale throughout the year or at least have point multipliers. Plus, I already have the only fragrances I need for spring and summer right now.
SKINCARE
LED Mask
I have been eyeing this LED mask for years. It has made my luxury Christmas gift guide at least once, too. I’ve wanted this one because it looks cool and has red and blue lights. Blue calms redness and breakouts; red is great for supporting collagen and elastin. I drink a collagen supplement and don’t have any wrinkles yet, but I believe an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. I’m trying not to feel the need to do something extreme to my face 10+ years from now so I’m hoping this will work as well as I’ve seen people claim.

Treatments & Toners
I used to get pretty bad breakouts on my back all the time. I get them far less often now that I’ve been double cleansing my body. Plus, my second cleanser has salicylic acid so I know that’s helped keep the bacne at bay. Now I want the dark spots gone so I can live my best life this summer so I’m hoping this treatment spray will do the trick.
TOPICALS
Faded Brightening & Clearing Body Mist
I adore this toner. It looks so pretty on my countertop, but more importantly it works really well. Hydrating my oily skin has helped it be less oily and kept my skin bouncy. The only con is that you can’t get all of the product out without breaking the top off. It smells slightly like roses so if that scent repulses you this one isn’t for you.

Eye Creams
I’ve been using a brightening eye cream since my mid-twenties and I thankfully don’t have very dark undereye circles. I’ve bought Sephora’s brightening eye cream as a less pricey alternative to another brand I was using and I have no complaints. Now that I’m in my mid 30s I’d like to prevent crows feet and other signs of aging around my eyes. I’m okay with getting older and looking a little older, but I want to look my absolute best until my last breath. I’ll use the brightening one in the morning and the firming one at night.

Face Wash
This is one of my shotgun riders! I’ve been buying and using this facewash for more than a decade and it’s never failed me. If you’re looking for a new face wash to use at night this is the one.
ORIGINS
Check and Balances Frothy Face Wash
Moisturizers
This moisturizer isn’t eligible for the sale because it’s already so inexpensive, but we’ll likely run out before May so we might as well get it now.
THE ORDINARY
Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA
I’ve been eyeing Nécessaire’s hand creams for a while too. Probably at least a year if I really stop and think about it. I didn’t but them because I will forget about beauty products that aren’t available at Sephora. I need to do better, but do I really when Sephora eventually comes through? I love the black and white packaging and how these are going to look lived in as I use them. I want the white hand cream for the day time and I want to use the black hand retinol to put on right before I get in bed. Will it make my hands look younger? We shall see.

Lash Primer
I’m loving the natural lash look, but I want them to look as voluminous and long as possible. I tried some drugstore lash primers, but they didn’t do it for me. I’m hoping this one will live up to the hype.
LANCÔME
Cils Booster XL Super-Enhancing Mascara Primer
Mascara
I’m buying this because the packaging is cute. I’m not kidding. I have no qualms with my current Ilia Volumizing Mascara, but black and gold are a top-tier combination. I hope I like the product itself.
YVES SAINT LAURENT
Lash Clash Extreme Volume Mascara
Brow Gel
I have been buying Kosas clear brow gel and it works well. I think their clear packaging is cute too, but it also allows you to see when you’ve muddied up the product with your foundation, setting powder, and brow product residue. I figured I’d give this one a go as it’s highly rated.
AMI COLÉ
Ultra-Flex Clear Eyebrow Shaping Gel
Foundation
This tinted moisturizer was highly recommended on Threads when I asked about a back up to my NARS tinted moisturizer so I had to add it to my cart. I used Sephora’s shade finder so I hope the one I chose is a good enough match. Plus…black and white packaging. I mean…do you see a theme here?
AMI COLÉ
Skin-Enhancing Tinted Moisturizer
This foundation has been on my wishlist so what better time to get it than when it will be on sale? I am enamored with their liquid eyeliner so I’m hoping this will be another winner. I think color 11 will be a good match too. At least from how they describe it. I have a golden/olive undertone so if it’s too golden I look orange and if it’s too neutral I look ashy. I need that green gold tint for the shade to blend well.
